Imagine... gaining a fraction of the knowledge and experience you have now... in HIGH SCHOOL!
Would you do anything different?
The Advanced Manufacturing Professionals Program (AMP) is a high-level program dedicated to INSPIRING and EMPOWERING high school students seeking a future in advanced manufacturing and woodworking. A multi-disciplinary approach to project-based learning, students enrolled have the opportunity to learn advanced trade techniques first hand from our Eastern Shore's Industry Leaders such as:
“After our field trip to Tanglewood and working with your craftsman, my students have not stopped talking about how they cannot wait to go back to Tanglewood and learn more about the trade!”
– Keith Hale, Caroline Career and Technology Center Instructor
So what makes AMP different?
The integration of life success skills. The Untangled Minds Foundation has partnered with the Caroline Career and Technology Center to develop and deliver curriculum designed to encourage students to think differently; to help students develop skills such as
- Thinking like an entrepreneur
- Public speaking
- Solving complex problems
- Salesmanship and negotiation.
These skills and more are designed to not only prepare students for their careers, but to be a successful in all aspects of life.
AMP is paving the way in education for students entering the trades. Are you ready to be a part of it?
